“Story Behind the Name”

  • “Damn the Torpedoes!” Admiral David Farragut uttered under the hot sun during the battle of Mobile Bay amidst the American Civil War in August of 1864. While leading the Union Navy to cut off supply lines for the confederate army, one of his ships struck a torpedo, deterring the rest of his fleet. “Full speed ahead!” the Admiral commanded, inspiring his men to press on and ensure victory in the Civil War. Next time you need a little extra boost to tackle your torpedoes, be sure to brew a cup of Farragut’s courage.

    Damn good coffee

Not sure how it happened but over the years, I transitioned from my 50 cent "regular coffee" cup with milk and sugar from the italian deli back in Brookyn to this guy who only buys bean coffee now. However I got here, I have tried a lot of coffee. I stumbled upon Trident and I gotta admit, I dont think there is a better bean anywhere than the Damn the Torpedo bean.
